Surrounding their lovely 100-year old farmhouse of sandstone, quarried on the farm, Cathy has an old, established low maintenance farm garden with a wonderful variety of plant material – some of it quite unique for this area ‐ with a great array of colour. It is a low maintenance garden with a wide variety of perennials.

Teas, coffee and light lunches will be served by Methodist Church ladies.

Floss Thring will fill the garden with clasical sounds from her guitar.A very talented, yet modest musician, Floss Thring is largely self-taught.  She plays the piano, classical guitar as well as the flute and celtic harp.

There will be a display of exquisite quilts done by the Cedarville Quilters.

Isabel Johnston will be selling Clematis plants and will be available for advice for anyone interested. Plants from Cathy’s garden will be on sale. Other products for sale will be Meadowbrook linen, wooden furniture and Pikkewyn girls clothing by Mandy Francis.

As a treat a flock of about 70 juvenile wattled cranes are staying just off the road between Fallodon and Chertsey. Directions to see them will be given by Cathy.

Directions: In Cedarville, turn towards the Cedarville flats at the garage, Express Fuels. Travel across the flats for about 5kms, bearing left at the top of the rise and after about 1km, turn in at the Green Farming Trust entrance (two farms use one entrance). Down the road, bear right at the fork with “Fallodon William and Cathy Green” on the signboard.

From Swartberg, after crossing the metal bridge take first turn to the left, go along until you get to a T-junction. Turn left onto the D640 past the Saamloop sale pens until reaching the T ‐junction. Turn right at the junction and the Fallodon entrance is about 2kms on the left.
