Jane Griffiths is a television producer, writer, artist and traveller, who has grown organic vegetables and herbs in her Johannesburg garden for more than twenty years.  You’ll know her from her books….”Jane’s Delicious Garden”,  “Jane’s Delicious Kitchen”, “Jane’s Delicious Herbs” and “Jane’s Delicious Urban Gardening”. Now, just in time to snatch up her new book, “Jane’s Delicious A-Z of Vegetables”, Jane, once again, joins us at the Encounter Festival with two talks.

The first in the garden of Cathy Green on Friday afternoon at 15:00 is “Unlocking the Secrets of an Organic Vegetable Garden”. In this talk Jane Griffiths will take you on a journey of discovery to find the hidden life in an organic garden. And share with you how these secrets will help create a healthy and productive edible garden.

Her second talk, in the garden of Shannon Gilson on Sunday at 13:00 (come and enjoy the hearty Oxtail luncheon!), is titled “Growing Green Fingers”. Jane Griffiths wasn’t born with green fingers. She only began growing her own food when she was in her thirties. In this talk she will share with you tips on how you too can create a delicious edible garden – whether you have green fingers or not. Jane’s accommodation kindly sponsored by Peacehaven Guesthouse.
