St Andrew’s is a place set aside for God, which is of special significance to both the town and farming community. Here there is a sense of history and of belonging, experienced in the regular Sunday services, where families meet together for worship and fellowship. It is a church which embraces everyone, whatever denomination. This little church was built by Charles Rennie in 1899, in thanksgiving for the fact that his cattle escaped the dreaded rinderpest, which was sweeping through the country with devastating effect…..

…but come and hear more of this history during the service of songs of praise at St Andrew’s on Sunday, 5th November at 8:30am. Jacques Heyns will accompany the service. The service will be followed by a relaxed country breakfast in this rural, rustic setting. You might like to bring camp chairs or picnic blankets…we suggest you do! .

Directions: Take the Matatiele road (R56) from Kokstad for 8kms. Turn left on to the D606 at the top of the hill and travel 7,5kms on the gravel.
